The Participants

The members of the Commission were: Sophie Gakwaya, Olivia Nankya, Anthony Curran, Norma Parry, Pauline Smith, Michael Walker-Smith, Kelly Pochodaj, Keith Jones, Carey Bohannon, Angela Maude, Philip Chapman, Kirti Shah and the Chair, Peter Bennett.

The following comments come from during the second session:

Phil Chapman - I started with a lack of knowledge and want to form an opinion. I'm waiting for a 'light bulb' moment!

Carey Bohannon - This is an interesting extension to my university work on Health and Community Studies. It's good that the public voice is being taken on board!

Sophie Gakwaya - I'm finding out and understanding more about how services are commissioned.

Michael Walker-Smith - This is a good experience and brings home the complexity in decision making and finance.

Kirti Shah - I've always been very interested in the NHS and the changes going on.  Everyone on the Health Commission is very enthusiastic.

Keith Jones - I am a full-time carer and user of NHS services. There's lots of talk about the NHS in the media but I wanted to hear about it from the experts first hand. As a retired lawyer, I am particularly interested in issues of fairness.
